There are 63 tombs in the valley, including the famous boy-king Tutankhamun. The tombs are open on a rotating basis to protect the paintings from damage by humidity as much as possible.
We will then visit the Worker Village, which describes the life of the ancient Egyptian middle-class life, and how their graves were completely different from the royal class’s graves, small, humble yet honourable, sacred and radiant with colours.
Last but not least, we will pay a visit to the tomb of the great woman pioneer: Queen Hatshepsut. The Temple of Deir Al-Bahri or Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple is situated at the foot of the sheer cliffs fringing the desert hills. The colour contrast between the almost white sandstones of the temple and the golden yellow rocks and sand of the desert brings out the Temple in a magnificent image. Having survived the destructive attempts from King Thutmose lll, the temple still stands with glory amongst other great temples.
And at last, drive back to Luxor airport to catch your flight to Cairo, and from there, fly back home.
